Our Origins Collection would not have been possible without the help of our incredible panel of 7 women, one from each of the ethnicities featured.
Each of these women has helped so much in researching, advising, and informing our team about how to represent their country authentically. We wanted to double and triple check and make sure our work was authentic and true to the cultures we were representing.
The following countries are represented in our Origins Collection :
- Bangladesh
- Sudan
- Pakistan
- Palestine
- Nigeria
- India
- Egypt
Our Process:
- We first ran a poll (around a year ago for those of you who have been following us for some time!) asking which countries/ethnicities you all were from. From there, we selected the countries of our collection.
- We then began to design & process our collection, which took a whole year!
- From there, we began to put together our panel. We sent them a detailed questionnaire to fill out so we could begin brainstorming our photoshoot.
- Once our forms came in from all participants, we formed a mood board and began the search for our models.
- We ran by the final looks once more with our panelists and viola! With their help, and all the talent on the day of the shoot itself, we were able to launch our Origins Collection with accuracy and perfection!
